Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s divorce rumours were rubbished by Omid Scobie in his new book centred on the Royal Family.

The author released his highly-anticipated book Endgame on Tuesday worldwide, which included several claims about the royals.

During his promotional appearances prior to the book’s release, Scobie suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not get a divorce, despite constant negative rumours about their marriage.

Quick to squash any rumours, he said: “From everything I understand they’re absolutely fine.”

Scobie added: “This is a pair that literally bonded over their trauma and experiences.

“Sort of them being against the world, as it felt to them at times.

“I don’t think that bond is particularly breakable.”

On whether Scobie has had contact with Harry and Meghan over the book, he told ABC’s Nightline: “People will ask, ‘Were Harry and Meghan involved in this book?'”

He continued: “It couldn’t be further from the truth actually.”

On whether the Sussexes would return to the UK, the author commented: “I think they found their forever place out here.

“They seem happy, they built a world where they’re actually thriving in.”

Harry and Meghan’s relationship began in 2016 with a blind date, and by November 2017 they were engaged.

The following year, the Sussexes welcomed their first child, Prince Archie.

In January 2020, the couple announced their intentions to “step back” as senior royals and move to North America.

Princess Lilibet, the Sussexes’ second child, was welcomed on June 4, 2021 in the United States.
