Pop sensation Cher has continuously defied expectations ever since she burst on to the music scene as one half of Sonny & Cher in the 60s.
Now the superstar is back in the spotlight after dazzling thousands this weekend with her stunning performance for the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live.
The 78-year-old icon wowed an audience of famous faces with a soaring rendition of her 1989 classic If I Could Turn Back Time, as celebrities like Kevin Cosner and Will Ferrell looked on in awe at her age-defying presence.
But cosmetic surgery experts have told MailOnline that such an astonishingly youthful appearence is anything but natural.
While Cher, who was born Cheryl Sarkisian, has previously admitted to undergoing a nose job and a facelift, surgeons told this website that these operations are likely just two of a varied collection.
The Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again actress may have undergone a host of other treatments including dental work, fat transfer to her face and surgery to reshape the corners of her eyes, they suggested.
Dr Vincent Wong, a London-based cosmetic doctor said he also suspects the star may have undergone a brow lift to help ‘lift the forehead and brows, giving a more alert, wide-eyed look’.
He told MailOnline: ‘Cher certainly looks great. She has said she’s had facelifts to maintain her lifted, youthful appearance.

Kevin Costner, 70, went viral for his epic reaction to the music icon’s performance
‘These surgeries help reduce and tighten the skin and smooth out wrinkles.
‘As well as facelifts, I would suggest she’s had eyelid surgery — blepharoplasty — to target any sagging skin around her eyes, making them look more open.’
She previously admitted to undergoing a rhinoplasty, which is responsible for the ‘more refined’ shape, said Dr Wong.
A rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a nose job, involves an operation either performed from inside the nostrils — a closed rhinoplasty — or by making a small cut on the nose.
By breaking and repositioning the side nasal bone, a surgeon can also reduce the width of the nose and achieve a narrower appearance.
Cher — who is dating music executive Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, 40 years her junior — ‘likely also uses Botox and filler’, Dr Wong said.
This both ‘smooths out fine lines by relaxing the muscles’ and ‘restores volume to her cheeks and under the eyes, which naturally lose volume with age’, he added.

Fillers — typically injections of collagen or hyaluronic acid — are offered in beauty clinics for as little as £75.
While purported to last for around 18 months, MRI scans have shown filler can migrate and stick around in areas of the face years after they were set to dissolve.
But she may have also opted for less invasive facial cosmetic ‘tweakments’ such as SylfirmX, Dr Wong also noted.
‘This uses its technology to treat skin concerns like redness, hyperpigmentation, and rosacea.
‘It’s also great for skin tightening and improving skin texture by stimulating collagen and elastin production.
‘Other clinic treatments and medical grade skincare put into a strict routine, will also help to keep her skin looking fresh and age free.’
Dr Kiren Sandhu, clinical lead at London-based Tooth Club, also told MailOnline Cher had likely undergone ‘orthodontic treatment and cosmetic dental procedures’ to maintain a ‘radiant smile’.
She added: ‘Early in her career, she discussed having braces to give her a more even smile.
Lisbon-based plastic surgeon Professor Jesús Olivas Menay, meanwhile, suggested the Oscar winner had also had ‘ liposuction to help contour her body and reduce fat that can sometimes be stubborn to reduce on your own’. Pictured, in 1998
Experts also said the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again actress may have also opted for a less invasive body treatment such as QuantumRF 25. Pictured, at the film premiere in 2018
‘I would say that since then she has likely chosen to have veneers for a more polished and uniform smile.’

Equally, she may have also opted for a less invasive body treatment such as QuantumRF 25 — ‘highly effective for body contouring and improving skin firmness’ — he added.
Thus uses radio-frequency energy to tighten the skin, reduce fat, and improve overall body shape.
It’s often used in areas like the thighs and arms to enhance definition and reduce flaccidity.
He said: ‘It is highly possible she’s used this treatment to keep her skin taut and youthful while targeting stubborn areas of fat.
‘It can also reduce the signs of cellulite, which Cher seems to have very little of.’
Last year, Dr Gary Linkov, a top US plastic surgeon based in New York, also argued she may have had a fat transfer to the face, as well as cheek and lip filler.
In a TikTok video watched more than 28,000 times, he added: ‘At the age of 53, Cher may have had her first facelift.
‘By 66, I think Cher had her second facelift surgery.’
The pop legend has always been open about previous cosmetic work.
In conversation with British broadcaster Terry Wogan in 1984, she said: ‘If I needed to have something done, I would certainly be the first one in the line to the doctor,’ adding that her mother had a facelift aged 56.
Speaking out against rumours she had undergone a rib removal surgery to slim her waist in 1988, she also said: ‘I’ve been upfront about saying that I had my nose done, my breasts done and had braces on my teeth. The rest is nonsense.’
And in 2018 she told the Mail on Sunday: ‘Yes, I’ve had a facelift, but who hasn’t?’
