A man who forked over more than $6,000 for a first class ticket on a 15-hour flight has been left furious over the ‘mildewed’ and ‘ripped’ seat, and ‘broken’ entertainment system.

Anip Patel, 34, a Chicago-based CEO of an investment firm, had a ‘nightmare’ flight experience while traveling with Air India from his home in the US to Delhi, India, recently.

The entrepreneur documented the ordeal on TikTok, and he claimed that his pricey seat was covered in dirt, ‘hair,’ and ‘mildew.’

And on top of it being ‘gross,’ he also said that various things were ‘broken,’ including the TV – which left him with absolutely nothing to do during the lengthy journey.

‘Come with me on the worst first-class cabin I’ve ever been on,’ he said in the video, which has been viewed more than 2.6 million times.

‘This is Chicago to Delhi non-stop, Air India. It was $6,300 one way or 250,000 miles.’

‘Look at how gross this is,’ the mogul said as he zoomed in on a slew of dust and dirt piled near the seat’s outlet.

‘There was hair in there and things moving in every compartment. Everything was ripped, ruined, or had mildew on it. I understand regular wear and tear but this was next level.’

Anip then shared a montage of clips of the various things he found in his cabin, including a massive tear in the seat, what appeared to be tape holding something together, stains on the compartment with the flight safety sheet, and more dirt in the cracks.

‘Everything was just ripped or broken. They could have easily wiped this with Lysol,’ he said.

When it came to the amenities, the investor slammed those too, claiming the ‘warm towel’ came ‘cold’ and the headphones had ‘mildew on them.’

Upon looking at the menu, he said the food ‘looked promising,’ but was then left disappointed when he found out ’30 per cent of the items were not available.’

‘They only had one of each item available. There were only four of us in the entire cabin but it was basically first come, first serve,’ he shared.

He ended up ordering some samosas, which he described as ‘average,’ and a bowl of charred leek and parmesan cream soup.

‘[The soup was] absolutely delicious,’ he said afterwards. ‘The only good thing on the flight.’

Next, he decided it was time to get comfortable and explore the entertainment system – but was furious when he discovered that it didn’t work.

‘Of course. 15 hours and no entertainment,’ he scathed.

Anip added that the plane didn’t come with WiFi, which meant he was forced to ‘raw dog’ the flight – a term that has become popular on social media recently, which refers to the practice of consuming no form of entertainment during a flight.

‘The entertainment system did not work the entire 15 hours,’ he stated. ‘Everything was broken… It was a nightmare, I raw dogged this flight.’

‘By far the worst airline I’ve ever ever flown in my life,’ he added in the caption.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Air India for comment.

In a comment, Anip revealed that he was refunded for the entire flight.

‘I did not file any complaint with Air India but through social media they saw this video,’ he wrote.

Viewers were shocked over Anip’s experience, and took to the comment section to share their thoughts, while others shared their own horror stories from traveling with Air India

‘They called me today and refunding my entire flight. They did make it right and it’s worth noting.’

Even so, viewers were shocked over Anip’s experience, and they quickly took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

‘Is it safe to fly such aircrafts?’ one user wondered, while another quipped, ‘Why risk your life like that?’

‘$6,300 for this?’ asked a different shocked viewer. ‘I’d dispute with the bank.’

Others shared their own horror stories from traveling with Air India.

‘This is true. I have experienced the same after even paying so much,’ someone else shared.

‘My screen wasn’t working, food disgusting, headphones nil, seats broken… way more dirtier than imagined.’

‘I flew Air India on first class Singapore-Delhi-Singapore in the mid ’90s. Believe me, you got it good,’ another comment read.

‘I went on Air India economy once and never again,’ a different user shared.

‘Flew Air India first class from SGP (Singapore) to Bombay and [had] little mice running,’ a different person claimed.

‘Stewardess said it’s normal and friendly, [they] cause no harm.’
