Motorists are being warned that the M25 will close tomorrow with thousands of drivers facing diversions and impacted travel plans.
The M25 will be closed from 9pm on Friday, March 21, until 5.30am on Monday, March 24, between J10 Wisley and J11 Chertsey.
National Highways has confirmed that this will be the fifth and final closure of the M25 as it aims to reduce congestion, improve safety and ensure traffic flows smoothly.
The traffic management agency will use the time to safely demolish and remove an old bridge after work to upgrade the gyratory at J10 was completed last month.

The M25 will see the final weekend closure of the £317million project
PA
Senior project manager at National Highways Jonathan Wade has urged drivers to heed advice and avoid the area following a build-up of traffic during the previous closure.
He noted that two weeks ago, there were “higher levels of traffic” than in the previous three closures, which caused “significant disruption and delays in local areas”.
Wade added: “We are now on the home straight of this complex project and we are pleased to say this is the last time the M25 will be closed over a full weekend.”
The warning comes as the UK sees the highest temperatures of the year so far, with some areas embracing the sunshine and 20C weather.
Wade warned that drivers could be tempted to travel because of the nice weather, causing long backlogs if a large number of people attempt to use the M25.
He said: “We obviously want people to spend time enjoying themselves, we don’t want anyone to be stuck in long traffic jams.
“If you’re travelling around Surrey this weekend, I’d again urge you to only use the motorway and surrounding areas if your journey is absolutely necessary.”
Drivers are being told to allow extra time and use alternative routes, with National Highways urging motorists to ignore their sat-navs and follow official guidance instead.
Motorists travelling clockwise along the M25 will be diverted onto the A3 northbound at Junction 10, before travelling on the A245 and A320. From here, they can rejoin the M25 at Junction 11.
Anyone driving anticlockwise will be diverted from the M25 at J11 to join the A320 southbound where they should take the A245 to Painshill. They are then advised to take the A3 southbound to J10.
Junction 10 of the M25 is the busiest section, with 300,000 vehicles passing through the area every day.
As part of the £317million A3 Wisley Interchange regeneration project, National Highways will close the road between April 11 and April 14 between J10 and the Painshill Roundabout/A245.
