Lionel Messi has listed his property empire on the stock market in Spain with a value of £185million.
The Argentine footballer is named as chairman of his Edificio Rostower Socimi group.
His wife Antonela Roccuzzo is the board’s vice-president. The real estate investment trust owns seven hotels in Spain and Andorra, three office spaces, and flats in Spain, London and Paris.
The shares were listed at €57.40 on Portfolio Stock Exchange, an alternative market supervised by the Bank of Spain.
Founded in 2013, Messi’s firm posted a £1.4illion loss in 2023. Most investments are in the Spanish region of Catalonia, where Messi, 37, moved in 2000 when he was 13 to join Barcelona’s academy.
Messi lived there until 2021 when he left for Paris Saint-Germain after Barcelona could not afford him.
He now plays for US team Inter Miami, which is owned by David Beckham.
