Limerick Lace has won the Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase on day four of the Cheltenham Festival.
It was a one-two finish for JP McManus as the victor fended off a late challenge from Dinoblue for the victory.
The Gavin Cromwell-trained horse clung on and stuck her neck out to take the win.
Limerick Lace is full sister to Dinoblue so was able to get a victory over their sibling.
After the race, Cromwell told Racing TV: ‘She showed a bit of heart didn’t she?

‘She was genuine. She was in front from a long way out, and she had a battle.
‘I’m delighted for Keith [Donoghue], who is a big part of team. He gave her a lovely ride, turned it into a good test.’
Asked about her pre-race friskiness, he added: ‘She’s always like that.
‘She’s probably well improved from what she used to be like. A little madam. But she showed guts, determination.
Marsh Wren finished third in what was the penultimate race of the festival, while Limerick Lace will turn their attentions to next month’s Grand National.
