Lily Allen has revealed she plans to “get her head straight” in 2025, as the singer opens up about her intentions to work on herself following her split from Stranger Things star David Harbour last year.
The 39-year-old admitted she is “not in a great place mentally” and wants to make significant changes.
The singer shared her determination to move beyond what she described as being “wrapped up in myself and victimhood lately”.
Speaking on her Miss Me? podcast with co-host Miquita Oliver, Allen acknowledged her need to become “more empathetic” and expressed she’s “going to try and be less of a narcissist in 2025”.
“I’m doing a little bit of work on myself in this beginning period of the year, then I’m going to do some more writing,” she revealed.
The singer, who has previously discussed her mental health struggles, confirmed her ambitions extend to both stage and studio, adding: “Then I’m going to do my play – hopefully get an album out by the end of the year.”

The 39-year-old’s new direction comes amid reports of her split from Stranger Things actor David Harbour last year.
Allen was recently spotted on exclusive dating app Raya, where her profile reportedly stated: “Looking for someone to start couples therapy with.”
The profile indicated she was “visiting Los Angeles from New York”, and came after she was seen without her wedding ring last month.
In addition, the Smile hitmaker was spotted not wearing her wedding ring last month which further fuelled speculation.

The development followed her admission that she was “bored of men”.
Allen has yet to publicly address the separation from Harbour, though speculation intensified after she discussed her relationship status on her Miss Me? podcast.
Allen and Harbour’s relationship began on dating app Raya, where she initially didn’t recognise him from Stranger Things.
“I thought he was just like a sexy policeman from a reality TV show,” she previously told The Jonathan Ross Show, referring to his profile picture in character as Stranger Things’ Jim Hopper.
Allen revealed: “When I met him I didn’t think it was going to go anywhere. He was here filming Black Widow. He was only going to be here for a couple of months. And then it did (go somewhere).”
The couple married in Las Vegas in 2020, with an Elvis Presley impersonator officiating the ceremony.

Allen co-parents her two daughters – Ethel Mary, 12, and Marnie Rose, 11 – with ex-husband Sam Cooper alongside Harbour.
Earlier last year, the couple faced speculation about their marriage when rarely seen together.
However, the rumours were soon squashed as Allen addressed the questions on her podcast and the couple appeared together at a baskeball game.
