A British Mayor has called on the Home Office and Labour Government to block the entry of a group of extremist Islamist preachers after announcing a five-city UK tour.
The tour, organised by charity One Ummah, claims to “help people prepare for Ramadan” and will take place in February.
However, the procession of speakers includes Muhammad Hoblos, who claims that those who miss “one day of prayer” are “worse than a murderer, a rapist, a terrorist and a pedophile in the eyes of Allah”.
The group also features Mufti Munir, who tells his followers that Jewish people have a “lust for slaughter and the murdering of people” and are “evil”.
Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen has demanded the Home Office and Labour Government block extremist Islamist preachers from entering the UK
Speaking to GB News, Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen details his demands to the Home Office to ban the preachers from entering Britain, claiming that them being allowed to organise a tour of our country is “farcical”.
Houchen told host Patrick Christys: “It should be pretty common sense that the Home Office and this Government should have rules in place that don’t allow these types of extremist views and these types of extremist individuals to set foot on UK soil.
“It’s an absolute privilege to visit our country. Never mind want to stay here, and the fact that we even have to raise this with the Home Secretary and the Government to try and get this stopped and stop these people from coming to the UK seems farcical in itself.”
Criticising the Government’s lack of awareness of the tour, Houchen said it sends “completely the wrong message” to Britons, noting that it took the efforts of himself and others to notify the Home Office of the activity.

Houchen explained: “What’s really sad is that actually it’s taken people like myself and a couple of others to raise this with the Government before they’ve even started to look at this and take it seriously.
“The fact that the European Union, through Schengen, have completely banned these people from coming in, now we’re a soft touch compared to our European partners, it says that there’s something wrong with the system.”
He added: “There is an extremist kind of thread that seems to be using these more low key, less established venues to try and infiltrate communities and spread their hate.”
When pressed by Patrick on whether he believes the Home Office should intervene and block the preachers from entering Britain, Houchen stated: “We are a sovereign nation and we want the Government that we elect to do what the will of the people want to get rid of, never mind illegal immigration.
Houchen told GB News that the it is ‘farcical’ that the tour has been allowed to take place

“These extremist people who by any common sense of the imagination should not be allowed to set foot on our soil.
“If we do not have a Government and a system that allows us to pull the trigger and get rid of these people and not allow them entry, which is so blindingly obvious, then the system is broken and needs looking at, and this government needs to step in.
“The Home Secretary needs to use all of the powers at their disposal to stop these people not just coming to Teesside, but coming to the UK entirely.”
GB News contacted all the venues that they are due to attend and the companies who run them, which has now resulted in “major questions” as to whether the events will go ahead.
In response to GB News, The Atrium in London said that they “now had a massive question mark over the event”, and it’s possible the organisers would “have to find another venue”.
The Werneth Suite in Manchester thanked GB News for informing them about the speakers and what they’ve said in the past, and said they have now “contacted the charity”, and are going to “make a decision after they’ve spoken with them”.
