Princess Kate “threw up her hands in disgust” after giving up on mending Prince William and Prince Harry’s strained relationship, a top royal author has claimed.
Following Kate’s lengthy cancer battle, the princess has distanced herself from the so-called “peacemaker” role, Christopher Andersen, who wrote The King: The Life of Charles III, said.
Andersen claimed that neither Harry nor Meghan were on Kate’s radar these days – with the princess focused on consolidating the monarchy’s future alongside Prince William – whom sources have said is “calling the shots” in the Royal Family.
The author told Fox News: “The idea that Kate somehow still has the time and energy to continue playing peacemaker is rubbish.
“She did her bit, but it wasn’t enough to build a bridge between William and Charles on the one side and Harry on the other,” Andersen said

Meanwhile, royal commentator and ex-International Who’s Who editor Richard Fitzwilliams told the outlet that William and Kate are “at one” with their handling of the royal feud.
Fitzwilliams said: “Harry portrayed her [Kate] as cold and unwelcoming to Meghan Markle in Spare, when he painted an extremely damaging picture of the Royal Family.

“The memoir is soon to be released in paperback and his allegations will surface again.
“Though, fortunately, he will not be adding to the volume or promoting it. He knows perfectly well how damaging it has been.”
The royal expert also talked up the Waleses’ positive progress over the last few months – which he labelled “encouraging”.
Despite his Fox News chat coming before Kate’s landmark visit to Southport today, Fitzwilliams explained: “We have recently seen encouraging signs of Catherine’s recovery.
