Princess Kate has returned to Wales for the first time since she announced she was diagnosed with cancer in March last year in a £414 outfit.

The Princess of Wales visited a children’s hospice near Cardiff, which supports families in Wales to enable children with life-shortening conditions to live fulfilling lives.

The Princess of Wales arrived wearing a Zara black & white Houndstooth Dress with a coat.

Kate wore the highstreet brought garment during three previous public engagements.

The dress was first worn during a visit to Bradford in 2020.

Kate then wore the £90 piece during a visit to UCL in 2021 and then again in 2023, to visit the Aberfan Memorial Garden.

She accessorised with £79 ‘Spells of Love’ Alia gold hoop earrings.

The Princess of Wales wore Russell and Bromley black pumps, worth £245.

Kate previously displayed the 10cm heels in September 2002 when she visited the Commonwealth Troops participating in the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

The outfit came to £414 in total.

She wore the fit whilst visiting a children’s hospice based in Sully, which has been supporting the community since 1999.

Tŷ Hafan was the first children’s hospice in Wales.

The facility supports families in Wales to enable children with life-shortening conditions to live fulfilling lives.

It comes two weeks after Princess Kate announced she was “in remission” from cancer after she undertook her first solo engagement in more than a year at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

During her visit, the Princess spent time with children receiving care and their families at the hospice.

Kate also joined a “stay and play” session, which sees the children enjoy meaningful play and activities alongside their care as well as meeting with bereaved families supported by Tŷ Hafan.
