Jet2CityBreaks has expanded its Discover More collection to include Athens and Rome, offering customers guided tours of historic landmarks in both ancient capitals.
The packages include flights, accommodation and pre-arranged sightseeing excursions to “iconic” sites such as the Acropolis in Athens and the Colosseum in Rome.
This latest expansion follows the successful addition of Marrakech, Krakow and Porto to the operator’s experience-based holiday portfolio last year, making it the company’s largest Discover More collection to date.
The Athens package includes a half-day tour led by an expert local guide, starting at the Panathenaic Stadium and continuing through the National Gardens and Hadrian’s Arch.

Flights are set to depart from Birmingham Airport for Winter 24/25, Summer 25 and Summer 26, and from London Stansted for Summer 25 and Summer 26. Manchester Airport offers year-round services to the Greek capital.
In Rome, the guided tour begins with a visit to the iconic Colosseum, followed by Palatine Hill which offers panoramic views of the ancient aristocratic district.
The tour concludes at the Roman Forum, where visitors can walk in the footsteps of Julius Caesar through the historic ruins.
Year-round Discover More packages to Rome are available from seven UK airports: Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International.
CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Steve Heapy, said: “We are pleased to be further expanding our Discover More range to offer holidaymakers the chance to delve into the ancient history of Athens and Rome.
“This exciting expansion comes in direct response from customers, so we are confident that the new packages to these two iconic city break destinations will prove popular.”
The Discover More collection also includes trips to Iceland, Bergen and the Fjords, and Croatian cruises, offering customers comprehensive destination experiences.
Discover More holidays are for those “looking for something a little different to a fly-and-flop holiday”.
Jet2 explained: “These trips have been designed to appeal to your sense of adventure, whether that involves ticking off historic sights, delving into local cultures and traditions or soaking up knockout scenery. And it’s all wrapped up as part of your package, so it’s super-easy to uncover the best bits of your destination for the best value.”
