JB Gill may be storming his way through this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, but there could be some unfortunate news on the horizon for him.

The JLS star, 37, has been dealt a crushing blow ahead of the next live show this weekend as a hidden “struggle” has been exposed.

Gill, who is paired on the BBC competition with Welsh favourite Amy Dowden, 34, has so far had a successful run on the show, frequently securing a place towards the top of the leaderboard.

The two received an impressive score of 30 for last week’s rumba, and have garnered promising feedback each week from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.

However, things could be set to take a turn for the pair, as body language and behavioural expert Darren Stanton has shared his thoughts about the singer and predicted Gill could be in trouble this week, explaining his confidence had been “dented”.

“I think JB is starting to struggle a bit now,” the expert, speaking on behalf of Betfred, commented.

He continued: “He’s obviously very well-liked by the public, but we’ve seen him land a couple of negative comments from Craig, and he seems to lack some confidence.

“I think we’ll see him struggle in the next couple of weeks due to this.,

“I would tip him as someone who could be in trouble this week, due to the declining level of confidence.

“JB showed disbelief when Craig was talking to him and making his critiques on Saturday night.

“We had seen him really confident previously, but this has dented it slightly. The crinkle lines on his nose show this, as well as his eyebrow positioning.

“Luckily, Amy is someone who really tries to get the best out of her partners and is a really positive influence, so hopefully we will see him gain some of this back in the coming weeks.”

However, there may be an explanation for Gill’s confusion during judge Craig Revel Horwood’s comments.

The two performed a passionate rumba, and while they received a lot of praise from the judges, Revel Horwood took issue with one element of the routine which left both Dowden and Gill scratching their heads.

The couple’s steamy routine left fans impressed and was largely well-received by the four judges, but Revel Horwood did have one particular criticism.

Following the dance, the 59-year-old commented: “I felt like it got stuck in a few places, particularly when you put your leg behind your back.”

As the audience heckled his remarks, he continued: “There wasn’t enough connection.”

But this particular analysis has left fans and Strictly stars confused, with Dowden herself admitting she “disagreed” with Revel Horwood “for the first time” when she appeared on Strictly spin-off show, It Takes Two, earlier in the week.
