Jason Kelce was known for his battles in the trenches as he manned the offensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles for years. But recently, he had another kind of battle to deal with in retirement.

Kelce and his family own a large piece of property in the Philadelphia suburb of Haverford Township and wanted to build a new home on the land.

In addition, they wanted to make a number of other updates – including adding a fence to upgrade the ‘security’ on the property.

After pushback from neighbors, who objected under the belief that construction could cause flooding to their surrounding homes, Kelce made an appeal to the local zoning board and got approval to go forward with the projects.

Kelce expressed his desire to stay in the town, but made it clear that his family’s celebrity required special measures for their safety.

‘We want to be in this area, we like this area a lot,’ he said, according to Philadelphia NBC affiliate WGAL.

Retired Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce is working on plans to keep his family settled in Delaware County, but his project is stirring up concerns among his neighbors.

Kelce initially bought a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home in Pennsylvania for $680,000 after he married his wife Kylie McDevitt

‘Obviously, things for my family are quite unique with the security purposes. We’d like to just deter a little bit of the foot traffic coming in and out of the home.’

Kelce and his family have been purchasing adjoining properties in his community since 2018. Their plans are to alter the land in a way that adheres to the ‘aesthetic of the area’, but still protects their family.

Neighbors took issue with the family’s plan to remove a number of slopes on his land, claiming that leveling out his property could increase water runoff and flooding.

But the zoning board approved Kelce’s plans anyway – with the added requirement that storm water management is implemented.

The ten-acre Kelce compound currently consists of three properties – with plans to knock down the existing buildings and replace them with a ‘luxury mansion’ at the center of the land, according to reports.

In total, the Kelce’s have spent nearly $6million on these three properties since 2018

Not only do they have property in Pennsylvania, but they also purchased a $2.2million beachfront estate on the Jersey Shore in 2023.

Jason just wrapped up his first season as an NFL analyst for ESPN and had another successful year of his ‘New Heights’ podcast.. Additionally, his wife, Kylie, just started a podcast of her own, ‘Not Gonna Lie’.
