Former Love Island winner Jack Fincham has been jailed for six weeks after his “dangerously out-of-control” dog attacked a man.
The 32-year-old reality TV star pleaded guilty at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates’ Court today after his black Cane Corso, Elvis, injured a member of the public.
The muscular canine, a breed of mastiff traditionally used as a guard dog, was involved in two separate incidents that led to the court proceedings.
Fincham, who rose to fame after winning Love Island, appeared before magistrates to face charges related to being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog.
The first attack occurred in September 2022 in Swanley, Kent, where Elvis injured Robert Sudell.
A second incident took place more recently in Grays, Essex, in June 2024, though no injuries were reported on that occasion.

Fincham faced two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog for these incidents.
The case highlights growing concerns around powerful dog breeds. Elvis is a Cane Corso, a breed that can weigh up to eight stone and has origins as an Italian guard dog.
The RSPCA’s dog welfare expert, Dr Samantha Gaines, recently noted that since the XL Bully ban, attention has begun to shift towards other large, powerful breeds.
The court ordered Fincham to pay £3,680 in fees and compensation following the incidents.

This includes a £200 compensation payment to Robert Sudell, who was injured in the first attack.
A second victim will receive £50 in compensation, though details of their involvement were not specified.
A payment plan has been established for Fincham to manage the court-ordered fees upon his release from prison.
He will be required to pay £400 per month until the full amount is settled.
Fincham was supported in court by his family members, including his brother and parents.
His on-off girlfriend from TOWIE, Chloe Brockett, was also present at the hearing.
