A leopard-print staircase, an EastEnders-inspired bar, and a framed photograph of Cilla Black.

These are just some of the treasures inside Little Nan’s Weymouth – a holiday home and arguably the most over-the-top Airbnb in the UK, if not Europe.

The semi-detached Dorset property is located in Chapelhay, just minutes away from Weymouth Harbour and Newton’s Cove. While unremarkable from the outside, inside is a dedication to ‘extreme maximalism’.

The walls are adorned with neon lights, plastic ivy and framed photos of British celebrities, from the Royals to 90s Z-listers, while plush furniture, animal print rugs and stuffed toys take up every other surface.

A trove of kitsch items and nostalgic memorabilia can be found crammed into every nook and cranny.

The house is an extension of Little Nan’s in Deptford, an award-winning cocktail bar in southeast London kitted out like a retro living room and with a proclaimed love for the EastEnders soap opera character Pat Butcher.

Tristan Scott – the brain behind Little Nan’s – set up the bar in 2013 in honour of his ‘late Little Nan JoJo’, who died in 2010 at 103.

It contains all her possessions and is decorated in the excessive style they both loved.

All of the items in the house belong to owner Tristan Scott’s grandmother or were sourced by Tristan from local antique emporiums, vintage yards and charity shops

The holiday home, a project Tristan, 42, began at the beginning of the pandemic, is another dedication to his late grandmother.

The eclectic four-story property features a large downstairs lounge area next to an open-plan kitchen, where guests will find a large sign reading ‘GET OUTTA MY PUB’ above the golden bust of Queen Victoria.

The lounge boasts a cabinet full of fancy dress items, a plush three-seater sofa with mismatched cushions, and a large TV.

The house boasts three bedrooms – two named after Tristan’s grandmother and grandfather (JoJo, above, and John Clyde) and the third, a 90s-themed bedroom, decorated much like Tristan’s own teenage bedroom (top three images)

There’s also a ‘midnight feast’ bar area equipped with four bar stools and a prop cabinet full of hats, wigs and costumes to dress up in.

Upstairs, on the top floor, is a cosy movie room. The space is big enough for eight guests and features a balcony with ocean views.

While exploring the holiday home, guests might find themselves tripping over Little Nan’s large collection of china dolls or her set of TV Soap Tea Pots, including the Queen Vic Pub, Rovers Return, and Faulty Towers.

They’re fit for royalty, too. Above the bed in the JoJo Bedroom is a large royal coat of arms plastered on top of leopard print wallpaper.

Even the toilets are over the top.

‘The LAV of Love’ downstairs loo features two selfie mirrors, while ‘The Eastend Mermaid Bath & Shower Room’ is decorated with artificial flowers and has a flamingo bust sticking out of the wall.

There’s also a backyard, suitable for smoking, and a front yard, suitable for barbecuing.

Guests will ‘never get bored’, at the holiday home. According to its website the house is ‘full of mod cons to make your stay a visual and comforting delight’.

Little Nan’s holiday home sleeps up to ten guests. A minimum stay of two nights starts from £900 and can be booked on Airbnb, here. For more information on Little Nan’s visit www.littlenans.co.uk/.
