A spiritual worker has revealed that she was paid by a Brazilian influencer to ‘release’ another from jail.
Michelly da Cigana said she was approached by a social media personality and received 77,000 reals, about $14,000, to help Deolane Bezerra walk out of a prison in the northeast state of Pernambuco two weeks ago.
Bezerra, a lawyer and widow of rapper MC Kevin, and her mother were arrested on illegal gambling and money laundering charges on September 4.
‘She (the unknown influencer) approached me to do this type of work because this fan is a spiritual person and is aware that, through my work and publicity, a chain of fans with positive energy would also be added, connecting spiritually,’ da Cigana told Brazilian news outlet Metropoles.

Da Cigana is keeping the influencer’s name a secret as part of their agreement.
‘I will not reveal who the contractor is because it is part of the agreement to maintain confidentiality,’ she said. ‘However, she is someone as famous as Deolane.’
Bezerra, who has more than 21 million Instagram followers, was placed on house arrest September 9, but was sent back to jail on the following day after she broke a court-order that prohibited her from talking to the press.
On Wednesday, a Supreme Court judge rejected her attorney’s request for a habeas corpus, denying their argument that Bezerra’s free speech had been violated.
Da Cigana, who is running for a city council seat in the municipality of Alvorada, services include spiritual cleansing, prosperity and love binding among others.

She claims to have helped four people to get out of jail in the past.
One of her clients was a Moroccan man, who was facing international money laundering charges in France.
For the most part, da Cigana’s clients have ended up being released – except for one who did not heed her advice.
‘There was a case in Brazil where we did the work to free a man, but I warned him that if he remained in the city where he was, he would be killed. A short time later, he was murdered,’ she said.
