The son of murdered young mum Molly Ticehurst has delivered a heartbreaking message to mourners at the funeral of his young mum on Thursday.
Through a speaker on his behalf, the youngster told mourners of his devastating loss after the 28-year-old was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend Daniel Billings last week.
‘You meant so much to me, but you are in my heart mum and that’s where you’ll always be. I know heaven called you but I wish you could’ve stayed,’ he said.
‘I miss you a lot and I’ll love you every day and night. You are the best mum in the world.’
The tragedy has sparked an urgent overhaul of measures being taken over domestic violence.
Her heartbroken father Tony said his daughter had a tattoo with the message ‘We only part until we meet again’.
‘I hope that’s true because I’d like to have some more memories with you,’ he said between tears.
‘Every parent wants to see their kid change the world but not at this cost.’
NSW Premier Chris Minns and NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb joined hundreds of mourners for the service at Forbes Rugby Union Grounds, in central west NSW.
