Many women rely on their hairdresser to save their strands, but salon-worthy locks can be achieved at home with a few simple hacks.
One model took to TikTok to share her hair “secrets” for a beautiful barnet, revealing that after washing her hair, she sprays it with a concoction of distilled water, apple cider vinegar and rosemary oil.

Zoé stated: “I’m going to give you all my hair secrets as someone who does balayage and highlights every three months.
“I still have a lot of hair – my hair grows super fast and it’s pretty healthy – and I have so many people wondering if I have extensions, which I don’t.
“It’s important to mention that your diet and your vitamins play a big part in how healthy your hair is going to be. Beauty starts from within.
“But today I’m only going to talk about the products and habits that have helped my hair and helped me notice a difference outside of nutrition.”
Sharing a habit she implemented a while ago that “really works” for her, the model explained that she adds distilled water, apple cider vinegar and 100 per cent rosemary essential oil to a spray bottle and applies this to her hair.
Zoé uses this technique every time she washes her hair, which is usually twice per week. She sprays it on her roots and a little on the lengths – although not too much. The model then massages it into her hair with a dedicated tool for five minutes.
Zoé claimed that the apple cider vinegar makes the hair “shiny” and “purifies the scalp”, while the rosemary oil is “really good for hair growth”.
According to the hair experts at Curlsmith, apple cider vinegar has a myriad of benefits for the scalp. These include balancing your scalp’s pH level, encouraging stronger hair, removing built-up product, encouraging shine, helping control bacteria or fungi on the scalp, gentler than some clarifiers, could reduce hair loss and may help to extend the vibrancy of your hair colour.
Offering some essential information on rosemary oil, the experts at Boots said: “Rosemary oil can help to replenish and condition your locks. The nourishing effects can result in more resilient hair that’s less prone to breakage, which means it may also appear stronger.
“So, if your hair feels weak or damaged, incorporating rosemary oil into your routine could help restore its vitality.

“First things first, it’s really important that you don’t apply pure rosemary oil to your hair, as this can actually cause more harm than good. Make sure you’re choosing either a dedicated rosemary oil product that is already diluted to the correct formula or mix it with a carrier oil yourself. Always patch test before using a new product too, just in case of any sensitivities.”
Another model has also championed the use of rosemary oil for hair, claiming that it has made a “tremendous difference” to her own growth and thickness.
Distilled water is water that has been boiled into vapour and condensed back into liquid in a separate container.
If you’re thinking of adding apple cider vinegar or rosemary oil to your hair care routine, it is important to speak to a professional first, as they can advise you on if these products are suitable for you and if so, which techniques and products will best achieve your needs.
