Grace Dent has left the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here jungle just eight days after entering camp.

A spokesperson for ITV confirmed Dent left the show on “medical grounds” hours after she was chosen to take on the next trial with Josie Gibson.

They confirmed: “Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds.

“She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”

Dent’s withdrawal from the competition means there are now 11 celebs remaining in the jungle following Tony Bellew and Frankie Dettori’s introduction as late arrivals last week.

Her decision to depart may come as no surprise to fans after she expressed her desire to quit during Sunday’s episode.

She sparked concern after she told the cameras: “I just want to go home.”

After hearing she was no longer taking part in the series, a number of fans were gutted but understood after spotting worrying signs over the past few days.

One fan said on X, formerly Twitter: “Grace Dent has left the jungle on medical grounds, which I have to say I’m pleased about, for her.

“You could see that she wasn’t enjoying it and I was actually concerned. It’s not for everyone that experience and clearly it wasn’t for her. Hope she’s OK. #ImACeleb.”

A second also understood: “Sorry to hear Grace Dent has left #ImACeleb – she did not look at all well yesterday and showed very little emotion when voted to do a trial. Hope she’s OK.”

Another echoed the sentiment: “Grace Dent has quit I’m a celebrity. I hope she’s ok #ImACeleb,” followed by a love heart emoji.

And a fourth concurred: “Grace Dent has left the jungle on medical grounds, I have to say I’m pleased about as she looked frail.

“She told viewers on Sunday night, I just want to go home.”
