Fred Siriex’s fiancée, best-known as Fruitcake, has taken to Instagram to implore her followers to vote for the I’m A Celeb star to take on the next Bushtucker Trial.

Siriex has failed to rack up the votes from the British public so far this series and has only taken part in the trials that the entire camp has been tasked with.

Instead, ITV viewers have voted for the likes of Nella Rose, Nigel Farage, Sam Thompson and others to take on the majority of the gruesome challenges.

Grace Dent also found herself facing a number of tasks during her time in the jungle before she quit the series on “medical grounds”.

But now, Fruitcake has decided to take matters into her own hands and has shared a video on Instagram pleading for viewers to vote for Siriex to take on the next task and earn more time on-screen.

Recording herself from the airport as she flies out to reunite with her other half, Fruitcake said to the camera: “Right, I’ve just landed in Singapore waiting for my connecting flight to Australia.

“I’m feeling a bit rough, do you feel like that after a flight? Like the AC or something just makes me feel like I’m catching a cold.

“Anyway, I understand that Fred got given an apron in last night’s episode so I’m sure he must be overjoyed.”

Turning her attention to the future, she went on: “But anyway, I need your help. I really need your help in getting him on a trial.

“Like please vote for him for the next trial. Something that involved spiders or eating some disgusting animals – I don’t know… I don’t care actually, to be fair.

“Just get him on a trial, help me in getting him on a trial,” Fruitcake signed off with a chuckle.

While Siriex may not be receiving the airtime desired in the trials, he has had his fair share of headline-making jungle scenes so far.

Just days after entering the camp, Siriex locked horns with Farage as the pair debated Brexit.

A staunch Remainer, Siriex branded Farage’s campaign tactics ahead of the 2016 referendum as “shameful” – and it wasn’t the first time the pair would visit the topic of debate.
