Manchester United left-back Tyrell Malacia has emerged as a target for ambitious Italian side Como.
Coach Cesc Fabregas is building a competitive squad for Serie A and they have made an enquiry to ascertain a price for the Netherlands international.
Malacia joined United from Feyenoord in 2022 for £13million but has struggled for form and fitness making just 43 appearances across all competitions despite a promising start.
United are open to offers for all their players and coach Ruben Amorim has targeted the left wing-back position as a priority to strengthen in the next transfer windows.
Although Luke Shaw is returning to fitness at the end of this month, he could yet figure as a left-sided centre-back.
Paris St Germain’s Nuno Mendes was Amorim’s ideal target for the position, a player he knows well from their days together at Sporting Lisbon, but that deal looks increasingly unlikely for this window.

Mendes has refused to sign a new contract at PSG and wants to join United but under PSR restrictions, United are unlikely to be able to meet the French club’s valuation this window.
United have also followed Milos Kerkez closely at Bournemouth and Lecce’s Denmark international Patrick Dorgu.
