EXCLUSIVE

An influencer and her family have moved out of their McMansion after her boyfriend was allegedly kidnapped from the property and had his teeth pulled out with pliers over a drug debt believed to be owed by one of her relatives.

TikTok star Angel Bowyer, 25, and her partner Peter Vuong, 27, were asleep in her family’s Smithfield home, in Sydney’s west, on March 9 last year when a group of men allegedly stormed the house armed with sledgehammers and guns.

The men then allegedly abducted Mr Vuong and held him captive in a squalid Belmore property in the city’s inner-west, where he was reportedly blindfolded and tortured for six days while they tried to extort a $5million ransom.

The cash demands were allegedly sent to crypto investor Tran Dinh, husband of Ms Bowyer’s cousin, who then tipped off police and triggered a complex rescue operation to save Mr Vuong.

Mr Dinh is believed to have been the intended target of the attack and has since left Australia, while six men and a woman were arrested in relation to the alleged abduction.

Daily Mail Australia can now reveal the Bowyer family – which includes Angel, her mother Yen, father Linh, and brother Tim – put their home up for sale in August, five months after the alleged attack.

The four-bedroom property on a 683sqm block features a ‘theatre room’, two bathrooms, a double garage and a $4,000 security system.

It was sold on September 26 for $1,570,000, with the family purchasing another property in Sydney for $1.8million the following month.

Neighbours previously told Daily Mail Australia the family had installed a hi-tech security system at the premises just days before the alleged kidnapping.

Court documents allege the accused attackers had made a botched attempt to abduct Mr Vuong days before he was kidnapped.

Angel Bowyer is a convicted drug offender who was jailed for selling huge quantities of MDMA, but has now re-invented herself as a big-brand influencer with more than 350,000 followers.

After being released from prison, she found fame on TikTok where she partners with popular fashion labels including Pretty Little Things, Stax and Gingham & Heels.

Despite being embroiled in the alleged kidnapping scandal, her social media stardom has continued to thrive.

Her following has grown by more than 1,000 over the past 12 months and she has now also become an ambassador for American brand, FashionNova.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting any member of Ms Bowyer’s family had any involvement in Mr Vuong’s extortion, or that they knew about her previous drug dealing.

Viliami Siasau, 20, Valali Tonga, 21, Sunia Siasau, 21, and John Totau Fahamokioa, 21, Lolo Liavaa, 20, and Kitueau Tatafu, 22, were arrested on March 14, 2023, shortly after Mr Vuong was rescued.

Sira Elkheir, 22, was arrested the following month on April 12 and charged with allegedly accessing confidential data – including driver’s licence details and addresses – through her public servant role at Service NSW to assist with the kidnapping and extortion.

Ms Elkheir pleaded guilty and was sentenced in March this year to an 18-month good behaviour bond and 30 hours of community service work.

The charges against John Totau Fahamokioa have since been withdrawn, while the matters of Sunia Siasau, Viliami Siasau, Valali Tonga, and Lolo Liavaa remain before the courts.
