A British woman who had an epic meltdown at an US airport and ended up in jail after moving across the pond ‘for love’ is award-winning comic and actress Rachel Jackson, MailOnline can reveal.

The Edinburgh-born star was captured on police bodycam footage berating and swearing at police while being escorted from Nashville Airport.

The 37-year-old has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including ‘Still Game’ and ‘Outlander.’

She has also wrote and starred in a mini series called ‘Bunny Boiler’ on BBC Three and appeared at comedy festivals around the world.

Jackson’s arrest and foul-mouthed tirade has gone viral after police bodycam footage was posted on YouTube and viewed over one million times. It was released by US police following a request under their open policy on records and bodycam footage.

The comic, who was nominated for the best new comedian at the Scottish Variety awards, is understood to have moved to the US in 2023.

In March she is launching a new comedy show called American Horror Story and in an promotion on TikTok says the show is ‘all about the time award winning Scottish comedian Rachel Jackson moved to Tennessee for love but instead lost her mind’.

Prior to moving the America Jackson has had a successful career as a comedian and writer after graduating from the Rose Bruford drama school in Sidcup, Kent.

She appeared alongside former Dr Who star Karen Gillan in the film ‘The Party’s Just Beginning’ and also ‘Scot Squad’.

In an advert for an upcoming event at the comedy club she is described in promotional material as ‘a quick mind and a sharp tongue. ‘

It continues: ‘She has made somewhat of a name for herself in Scotland and is renowned for her fearless style and candid yet loveable demeanour.’

The spectacular meltdown took place at Tennessee’s Nashville airport on August 15th, 2023.

The confrontation began after the comic wandered into a lounge for Delta Airlines passengers without a pass.

She was flying to London on a British Airways flight but ignored staff who told her she was in the wrong lounge.

One member of staff, who called airport police, said that she thought Jackson was ‘high’.

When police catch up with Jackson – who has distinctive tattoos on both of her wrists and wearing Gucci sunglasses – she demands to be left alone.

As the officers calmly and politely try to reason with her she screams ‘Get you hands off me’.

The strange encounter ended with Jackson being booked in jail, and she was reportedly charged with disorderly conduct

After being denied entry to a smoking lounge after claiming she did not have the $10 entry fee the officers decide to arrest her for disorderly conduct.

At one point disobeying an officers demand to put her hands behind her back after being told she will not be allowed to fly, she says: ‘I will only go on the captain’s orders, because I’ve seen Titanic,’ she says at one point as she is placed in handcuffs.

‘I am Titanic, I am white lotus… get your f***ing hands off me.’

After telling the cops she had been ‘traumatized’ by American police before, the woman screamed ‘not again, not again’ as she was arrested.

Refusing to be escorted out peacefully, the officers resorted to dragging her by her hands and walking her out of the airport.

Her struggle continued as she was placed in a cop car, telling the officers she ‘won’t go in’ and ‘won’t go to jail.’

When backup comes, the woman asks a female officer to ‘help me woman’ as she resisted arrest.
