A funeral commemorating the life of high-ranking Bandidos president Peter Martin after he died in a motorbike crash has been attended by hundreds of members.

Up to 500 members attended the service held at the Port Macquarie Race Club on Oxley Highway on the NSW Mid North Coast on Saturday.

The former Bandidos president, also known as Bandido George, was carried to the service in a motorcycle sidecar from Hastings District Funeral Home.

Gates opened at 10am with a flurry of colourful members lining up to pay their respects to the former president of the local Bandidos chapter in western Sydney.

Due to his status, attendance of all Australian members at the service is compulsory.

Mr Martin’s death in a horror bike crash last month sparked an outpouring of grief from family and friends, including his heartbroken sister.

‘Rest in paradise my brother,’ she wrote alongside a photo of the former president sporting his Bandidos gear.

‘I know we always didn’t see eye to eye but that would never change the fact you’re my brother and I love you. He didn’t just wear a patch, he was a brother, a dad, a song, a friend and uncle, his sister.’

Mr Martin and a fellow Bandido had been riding their Harley Davidsons when the bikes collided with a Mazda sedan on the Great Western Highway at Prospect, in Sydney’s west, on September 10.

The high-ranking president couldn’t be revived and died at the scene.

The other rider was left fighting for life while the driver of the Mazda had to be cut free from the vehicle and rushed to hospital.

Harrowing photos from the crash scene showed Bandidos markings on the front wheel of one of the mangled Harley Davidsons.

A regional Bandidos meeting will be held at the wake on Saturday, understood to be held at the home of Bandidos member Mitchell Sutton.

At the funeral procession one of Mr Martin’s young daughters paid tribute to her dad just in front of his casket which had been propped up and adorned with flowers.

Members also parked one of Mr Martin’s cherished Harley Davidson motorcycles beside the casket at the proceedings took place.

‘I wouldn’t be who I am today if I didn’t meet you my brother… FTW.’

A mate commented: ‘Condolences my brother he loved you like you were his son.’

Family friend Reg Beaver also paid tribute using Mr Martin’s nickname.

‘Four years and 7 months to the day, almost to the hour, within one kilometre of where we lost our son Jarrod… today my older son’s good mate lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident,’ Mr Beaver wrote.

‘George was a mate to everyone who knew him… Rest in Peace George.’
