Meghan Markle has been dealt a fresh blow over her lifestyle brand by GB News host Eamonn Holmes, as he claimed the name of her latest project is “rubbish”.
The Duchess of Sussex was forced to U-turn on her American Riviera Orchard brand name after losing a trademark battle, with the royal announcing its new name, As Ever.
However, Meghan’s new brand logo has sparked a legal probe from Porreres, Mallorca, after bearing a striking resemblance to its historic coat of arms.
Discussing the Duchesses struggle in getting her lifestyle brand off the ground, GB News host Eamonn Holmes took aim at Meghan, branding the name “rubbish”.

In conversation with cohost Ellie Costello, Eamonn jibed: “You wonder why somebody would have such a rubbish name anyway?
“And the logo with the little tree and the birdies, it’s pretty close to the other one, isn’t it? It looks Arabic.”
Weighing in on the rebrand, former Royal Butler Grant Harrold claimed that Meghan’s name and logo issues are proving a “disaster” for the royal.
Harrold told GB News: “It’s a bit of a disaster, isn’t it, for her? She’s trying to launch this brand and already she’s had to rename it. And then when I saw the logo, it’s very similar to the Spanish town’s, so it’s not great.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
“I think the town has actually said they’re going to possibly fight her on this., so this isn’t a great start to her new brand.”
Sharing his view on Meghan’s latest Instagram video, where she discussed the rebrand, Harrold highlighted that the Duke and Duchess are prone to “constant rebranding”, many of which “don’t seem to work”.
Harrold explained: “It’s constantly this rebranding thing that’s going on, which is quite interesting. We’ve had different brands – way back to Sussex Royal at the very beginning, we’ve now got this new lifestyle series that’s coming out, and obviously, she’s got this new brand that’s going to go alongside it – it’s very difficult.
“This is not something royals typically do. Prince Harry is a senior member of the Royal Family, so it’s kind of uncharted territory that they’re going into. And this is a bit of a disaster, because everything they seem to do when it comes to branding, it just doesn’t seem to work.”

Discussing the future of Harry and Meghan’s careers in America, Harrold concluded that there are people “both for and against” the Sussexes in the US, but cautioned that royals and business “don’t really work”.
Harrold told GB News: “I think the Invictus Games is definitely the kind of saving grace, that’s the thing that everybody admires and respects them for. But when they keep going back into this kind of celebrity-branded lifestyle, I don’t think anyone is really that hugely interested.
“In the States, you kind of see people for and people against them. I think most people would rather that they weren’t doing this.”
He added: “And as members of the Royal Family, they should continue down that line. Going into this business world, I think I’m right in saying historically with royals and business, it doesn’t really work. It never has, and I don’t think ever will.”
