Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree fans were delighted that the pair had been back in the UK for a tour recently, with the Escape to the Chateau couple visiting areas around the country.

The two were joined on the tour by their two children, Arthur, 11 and Dorothy, 10. While the family were excited, they had to put in a lot of effort during preparations for the exciting venture.

Speaking on the latest episode of their podcast, Dick & Angel’s Chat…eau, the couple delved into the impact the big tour had taken on them.

“Now, every time we do a new tour, we have to go through and have all the technical work,” Strawbridge explained.

“Because you do all the work up to that point getting ready, don’t you?” he asked wife Adoree.

“Yeah, pretty much,” the 46-year-old replied as Starwbridge, 65 elaborated: “All the imagery and art work.”

“Yeah, it’s divide and conquer isn’t it?” Adoree detailed as she admitted: “Because there’s so much that you do that I wouldn’t even know where to start.

“Whereas you could probably do a lot of the stuff that I do, if we’re brutally honest about it, but I can’t do the stuff that you do.”

“When it comes to artistry and the set design, I deliberately don’t say very much otherwise we have too many opinions, and too many opinions can be a pain in the a**e because we don’t want to have lots of different people thinking about what we’re doing,” her husband chimed.

“No,” Adoree agreed as she continued: “And that side of it has been a huge build-up, even getting all the new programmes and Arthur’s jams – we’ll come back to that in a moment!

“There’s been a lot going on and let’s face it, we haven’t really slept much in the last month and it reminded me of the old Escape days.”

“We came to France to relax and have long lunch breaks and just to sort of suck the marrow from the bones of life!” Strawbridge joked.

“Well, this last month has just been quite brutal,” Adoree confessed. “But we are there, and what happened that made me stop was when Will and Chris – Will’s our tour manager, I think we were talking about him last time, and Chris is tech – and they came to the chateau to collect the stuff and to do the rehearsal days.”

As Starwbridge applauded the plan, Adoree added: “It was a really good idea, wasn’t it? You admitted it!”

Earlier in the month, the duo were delighted as they shared the start of their tour on social media.

Taking to Instagram, the pair expressed their excitement as they penned: “It’s happening!!! Our incredible tour team has arrived at the Chateau!

“1 tour manager…1 tech! 1 empty van and a lot of excitement! It’s nearly showtime! See you very soon!” (sic)

Followers flocked to the comment section to share in the excitement, and many also issued a desperate plea for them to make a TV return.
