David Beckham and Princess Beatrice are set to cross paths at the prestigious World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where both are scheduled to make significant appearances this week.
The former footballer, 49, has already made his mark at the event, receiving the Crystal Award on Monday for his humanitarian work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Princess Beatrice, who is pregnant with her second child, is due to attend the forum despite recent pregnancy-related travel restrictions that affected her Christmas plans.
The annual gathering, which runs until January 24, brings together global leaders, entrepreneurs, and influential figures from various sectors.

While Beckham has been photographed at multiple events, the Princess of York has yet to be spotted at the Swiss resort town.
During his acceptance speech for the Crystal Award, Beckham made an impassioned plea for girls’ rights worldwide.
“Girls are held back by poverty, girls are held back by violence, girls are held back by discrimination,” the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador told attendees.
The father of four spoke about wanting his daughter Harper, 13, to have the same opportunities as her brothers.

“[Girls] need opportunities. They need collective action and they need investment,” he added.
World Economic Forum chair Hilde Schwab praised Beckham’s “extraordinary leadership and humanitarianism in promoting and protecting the rights of the world’s most vulnerable children.”
The award recognises his 20-year commitment as a UNICEF ambassador, during which he has championed children’s causes globally.
Princess Beatrice is expected to take a prominent role at the forum in Davos, where she will participate in a panel discussion on combating climate change.

While the exact timing of her panel appearance has not been disclosed, she is scheduled to attend the forum between January 20 and January 24, according to the Times.
Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has already made three separate Instagram posts from Switzerland, implying he has accompanied his pregnant wife to the European country.
The princess’s participation marks a significant engagement in her royal duties, particularly as she approaches the later stages of her pregnancy.
Her anticipated contribution to climate change discussions adds to the forum’s diverse agenda, which has already seen notable interventions from global figures.
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
Princess Beatrice’s planned attendance at Davos comes after a notable change to her Christmas arrangements due to her pregnancy.
The princess, who is expecting her second child with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in early spring, had initially planned to spend the festive period overseas with her husband’s parents.
Medical advice against long-distance travel prompted a last-minute change, leading the couple to join the Royal Family at Sandringham instead.
Despite these earlier travel restrictions, the princess has opted to make the journey to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum.
The decision is particularly noteworthy as she had previously cancelled plans to visit Italy during Christmas, though Switzerland shares a border with Italy and is geographically close.
