Dave Portnoy has demanded an FBI investigation into the Washington Commanders and their running back Brian Robinson Jr. after he agonizingly missed out on a massive $370,000 pay day on Sunday.
Earlier on Sunday, the Barstool Sports chief announced to his social media followers that he’d backed a bold parlay on the penultimate week of the NFL’s regular season.
Known for his high-stakes gambling, Portnoy predicted Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts to score two or more touchdowns, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett to score and Robinson Jr. to score.
At odds of +3629, and with Portnoy revealing his returns would be around $370,000, that means he’s thought to have placed $10,000 on the wager.
Taylor and Pickett duly delivered for Portnoy in Sunday’s early slate of games, leaving just Robinson Jr. to come through in Washington’s primetime showdown against the Atlanta Falcons.
He went for 60 yards on 13 carries and nine yards on two receptions but failed to get into the end zone all night as the Commanders chalked up a dramatic 30-24 overtime win.

To make things more painful for Portnoy, Robinson Jr.’s back up Chris Rodriguez Jr. did score a rushing touchdown.
The failure of his parlay left Portnoy fuming and he posted a video on social media demanding the FBI look into ‘everyone in Washington’.
He said: ‘[Rodriguez] has five f***ing carries the whole season. Robinson is perfectly f***ing healthy, smiling on the sidelines and we are giving it to this f***ing guy?
‘I want a federal investigation. I want f***ing everyone in Washington investigated. I want DraftKings investigated. I want Robinson investigated.
‘I want everyone with a f***ing pulse, in-house, outhouse, park house [investigated]. What the f*** was that?’
Earlier on, Portnoy filmed himself lying on the floor in desperation as watched Robinson Jr. try and punch it into the end zone from a yard out.
The Commanders came up short on that play before Jayden Daniels passed on the next one, ending another promising opportunity for Portnoy to win.
Portnoy, 47, has described himself as a ‘degenerate gambler’ and admitted earlier on Sunday that he’d been ‘cold’ – meaning he hadn’t won for a while – as he unveiled his picks for the week.
Portnoy once filed for bankruptcy but has since turned a profit professionally and routinely bets an exorbitant amount on sports.

Portnoy placed a $100,000 bet on Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever to win the WNBA title in August, which would have won him $10.1million.
He also bet $1.1m on the Celtics to win the NBA championship and $1m on the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup, which put him about even with Boston’s victory and Edmonton’s loss.
Earlier this year, Portnoy scooped a $1.65m payday after backing Scottie Scheffler to win the Masters.
He also bet $100,000 on Alabama to win the college football national championship but they didn’t even make it into the 12-team playoff bracket.
