• Darts cult hero Bunting announced the news with a gender reveal video on X
  • One eagle-eyed fan noticed how the baby’s arrival ties in with Bunting’s victory

A beaming Stephen Bunting has announced that he and his wife will welcome a new baby boy to their family in early November – and one eagle-eyed fan has hilariously noticed the timing of the baby’s expected arrival.

The 39-year-old took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to post a gender reveal video, which showed his son Tobias popping a giant balloon outside their family home with blue confetti falling to the ground.

In the post’s caption, Bunting said: ‘ITS A BOY. Baby bullet due early November 2024. Me, Keila and Tobias are over the moon. Looking forward to welcoming our baby boy into this world.’

Shortly after Bunting’s joyous announcement, one fan connected the dots and realised how the baby’s due date is in early November – exactly nine months on from the darts star’s Masters triumph back in February.

Accompanied with a laughing emoji, the fan hilariously posted: ‘Due exactly 9 months after he won the Masters. That’s why he’s the [goat emoji]’

Plenty more X users lapped up the timing of Bunting’s announcement, playfully making the link to his Masters triumph and the due date of his baby.

One added: ‘So more trophies = More Bunting babies. Not sure his house is gonna be able to fit all these children.’

Another playfully asked: ‘The celebrations went well then?’

Bunting claimed his first televised PDC triumph earlier this year by beating three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen to win the Cazoo Masters title in Milton Keynes.

The following morning, Bunting brilliantly recreated Lionel Messi’s iconic FIFA World Cup celebration picture where he laid with his Masters trophy in bed.

A topless Bunting lay under the covers next to his award and revealed he had suffered a restless night’s sleep caused by needing to check his new trophy hadn’t disappeared.

Posting the snap on social media, Bunting stated: ‘It wasn’t a dream. Honestly woke up every hour through the night to keep checking the trophy was still there. So proud of my performances this weekend.

‘I would just like to thank all the fans, my family, management and all my sponsors. Without you guys this would never be possible. Love you all xxx.’

Bunting claimed £65,000 in prize money for winning the Masters.

Nicknamed ‘The Bullet’, Liverpool-born Bunting also has two BDO World Masters titles to his name and a BDO World Darts Championship.
