The UK’s only multi-brand electric vehicle distributor has announced that the new Seres 3 EV will arrive in showrooms this spring, making it the cheapest electric SUV on the market.
The Seres 3 EV is set to hit UK stores in the coming months with a starting price of £29,995 for the new model –around £500 cheaper than the nearest competitor.
Drivers will be presented with a modern design, equipped with six airbags, significant safety features on rear seats and an electronic aid package as standard.
The model also offers drivers a keyless start, reversing camera, air conditioning and a 10.25” touchscreen display. It also boasts a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging and heated front seats.

Powered by a 54kWh lithium-ion battery, the Seres 3 has a combined range of 205 miles and is capable of recharging its battery capacity in 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the 120kW electric motor propels the small SUV to 62mph from a standstill in under nine seconds.
With a price tag of under £30,000, the Chinese EV will be the cheapest SUV on the UK market, beating out the industry-leading MG ZS by around £500.
The addition of the new Chinese model electric vehicle was announced earlier this year with Gary White, general manager at IA Electric Vehicles praising the move adding that the UK would act as the “perfect match” for the brands.
He said: “This is a very exciting time for IA Electric Vehicles as we welcome Seres and Skywell into the family, alongside DFSK.
“Both brands are highly respected around the world and their technology, comfort and refinement are a perfect match for the UK marketplace.”
The Cirencester-based group is already selling Chinese brands in the UK, namely electric vans from DFSK, which is part of the Seres Group.
While the availability of more electric vehicles in the UK has grown, the appetite for them has lessened, causing more car brands to offer incentives and grants.

Discounts on new electric vehicles have risen by 204 per cent since last January as car manufacturers work to increase sales.
Research by What Car? found discounts worth £3,149 on new EVs and combined cash and finance discounts for EVs worth £4,603.
Steve Huntingford, editor of What Car?, said: “Electric vehicle sales grew last year, but this was due to tax rules favouring company and fleet drivers.
“By contrast, the extensive discounts that we’re now seeing target private buyers. It will be interesting to see if these incentives can tempt more private buyers to go electric in 2024, particularly in light of the new ZEV Mandate.”
