Cheryl Hines has opened up about her relationship with husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and addressed how she dealt with rumors surrounding his alleged sexting affair.
Rumors had been swirling that Hines was planning to divorce the former presidential candidate following allegations he had a sexting relationship with political reporter Olivia Nuzzi.
The actress had not previously spoken publicly about the scandal but was seen wearing her wedding ring and a strapless black dress at the Groundlings 50th Anniversary Event in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Hines said she’s not concerned about the current rumors flying around about her husband’s alleged scandal with the suspended New York magazine reporter.
‘Lots of emotions with rumors! But, it will all be in my book. I’m writing a book. I’ve been taking notes — serious notes,’ she told US Weekly.

Hines hasn’t publicly spoken about the scandal but was pictured alongside Kennedy earlier this month
‘People have a lot of feelings about politics, especially in Hollywood, and I don’t know. I mean, so far I feel like it’s OK.
‘I’m OK to have conversations like that with people and, to me, it doesn’t define somebody. To some people it does and it’s like you can’t control it. There’s nothing I can do about it, so I have to let it wash over me.’
The Emmy-nominated actress, best known as Cheryl in HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, told the outlet she’s focusing on her family.
‘They’re fun. I mean, if I had a boring family it would be tough. And I think just trying to embrace the unknown and instead of fighting against it, is sort of trying to embrace it and just say yes to whatever comes your way,’ she said.
‘Just to let it flow and to find the little moments and not take anything too seriously. Even though I find myself in very serious situations.’
Late last month, Nuzzi, 31, the Washington, D.C. star political correspondent for New York magazine, acknowledged having a sexting relationship with Kennedy, 70, while covering his campaign.
Kennedy, who suspended his independent bid for president and threw his support behind Donald Trump in August, claimed the two had only met once when Nuzzi interviewed him for the magazine.

She claimed in DC Supreme Court that Lizza ‘explicitly threatened to make public personal information about me to destroy my life, career, and reputation—a threat he has since carried out.’
Last week, Lizza claimed that Kennedy wished to ‘possess, control and impregnate’ ex-fiancée Olivia Nuzzi as he harshly denied blackmail allegations in court.
He says he never hacked into any of Nuzzi’s devices but rather was told of the relationship and its nature by her.
Rumors swirled about Hines potentially divorcing RFK Jr. once the Curb Your Enthusiasm star was pictured not where her wedding ring.
Despite the extent of the affair, Hines and RFK Jr. have been seen together multiple times over the last month.
Hines, 59, immediately dashed to her philandering husband’s side in Massachusetts on October 12 after his mother Ethel Kennedy passed away.
