Napoli and Chelsea are expected to make renewed approaches for Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
Napoli coach Antonio Conte sounded out the Argentine and his representatives about a move last week.
Chelsea, who Mail Sport revealed would like to sign Kobbie Mainoo, have also asked to be kept informed and Garnacho’s agents Carlos Cambeiro and Quique de Lucas, a former Chelsea player, were at Stamford Bridge last night.
Chelsea have Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Giittens and Karim Adeyemi on their list of wing options too.
United’s official line is that Garnacho is a valuable squad member and are not actively looking to sell now but their resolve may be tested should Chelsea or Napoli up the ante.
Mail Sport reported last week that Man United value Garnacho at £65million.
Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho could be tempted by a move away from Old Trafford
Napoli manager Antonio Conte is an admirer of Garnacho and has held talks with the Argentine’s representatives – but he is facing competition for the player from Chelsea
Alejandro Garnacho’s agents were at Stamford Bridge on Monday night to witness a 3-1 victory over Wolves, with Marc Cucurella (right) among the scorers, which took Chelsea up to fourth
There are, however, concerns from potential suitors about the winger’s attitude and professionalism and whether such a fee would represent value for money.
Garnacho was dropped by manager Ruben Amorim for last month’s Manchester derby and has struggled to win back his place since.
Juventus held further talks over a loan for Chelsea’s Renato Veiga yesterday.
