Female pattern hair loss is caused by genetics, hormones and ageing, however, there are ways to combat it.
A celebrity hairstylist spoke exclusively to GB News about what ingredients and products women should use to stimulate hair growth.
Founder of ADEM Adem Oygur said: “Healthy hair starts at the scalp. Look for products with biotin, caffeine, and hazelnut oil. They stimulate the scalp and promote growth.
“Castor oil is another secret weapon; it’s packed with nutrients that strengthen hair and prevent breakage.”

Use products or take supplements with collagen in them. Adem said: “It gives your hair a boost from the inside out.”
However, make sure you do not wash your hair too often as this “can strip natural oils”.
Adem advised: “Two to three times a week is usually best. When you wash, massage your scalp for at least a minute to boost circulation and hair health.”
If you are brave enough, blast your hair for 30 seconds with cool water at the end of your shower. It helps to “seal the cuticle and makes hair shinier”.
The expert added: “If you are using conditioner, keep it to the mid-lengths to ends. Nobody wants a greasy scalp.”
To help your hair “grow healthier and look thicker”, the hairdresser recommended getting regular trims.
He said: “Split ends make hair look tired and thin, so a little snip here and there keeps it fresh and full of life.”
“Be kind to your hair. Over-styling, excessive heat, and tight hairstyles can cause damage. Let your hair breathe.”
