Succession star Brian Cox has once again reignited his hatred for Donald Trump during a chat on an upcoming episode of The Jonathan Ross Show.
During Saturday night’s instalment of the talk show, Cox is quizzed on who he will be rooting for during the Academy Awards.
His two onscreen sons – Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin – are each nominated for an award, but the conversation soon turned to Cox highlighting his dislike for Trump.
Cox revealed: “The problem is I won’t watch anything that is to do with Donald Trump. Donald Trump is in The Apprentice, Jeremy is playing the lawyer.
“I have seen Kieran’s film and he’s wonderful. And I’m sure Jeremy is wonderful so I can’t really judge because I will not watch anything to do with that man – I’m talking about Trump.”
The movie The Apprentice – which was released in 2024 – is set in the 1970s and 80s, when Trump, played by Sebastian Stan, was beginning to make his name as a businessman in New York.

The film focuses on Trump’s relationship with lawyer and mentor Roy Cohn (played by Strong), who instilled certain values in Trump such as never admitting defeat.
This isn’t the first time that Cox has let rip on the newly re-elected US president, as earlier this month he strongly referred to him as a “c***”.
Cos appeared on Channel 4’s The Last Leg and was asked by host Adam Hills for his views on Trump.
Hills said: “I might be scared of where this is going to go but, what are your thoughts on Donald Trump so far, Brian?”
Trump slewed the movie and called those involved “HUMAN SCUM”

“He’s a c**t,” Cox immediately replied before US comic Michelle Wolf joked: “They told me that was the one word I wasn’t allowed to say and I’m so glad you said it.”
Cox replied: “Well, they never told me what to say. I would have been happy not to say it – but if somebody doesn’t call him a c**t …
“I’m not going back to America, for that very reason. No, I mean, they’re all idiots anyway.”
Meanwhile, following the release of The Apprentice, Trump called the people involved in making the film “HUMAN SCUM” in a post on social media.
Stan said he believed the comments were “inspiring violence”, while Strong said he was starting to feel the situation was “slightly dangerous” after Trump’s post.
The US President also claimed the film was “fake” and a “hatchet job” due to it being released right before the November 5 vote “to try and hurt” his campaign.
Brian Cox said he had seen Kieran’s new film which got him an Acadamy Award nomination

Strong previously noted his fear about being in the film, and said: “It wasn’t really until yesterday that I felt a sense of this feels slightly precarious and slightly dangerous and being in the crosshairs of the moment.”
He said Trump targeting the film’s writer Gabe Sherman – calling him a “lowlife” and questioning his credentials – had sparked an influx of hate.
