A Southern California police department is investigating a report of a possible shooter inside the Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to the medical center on Wednesday evening following unconfirmed reports of a possible shooter.
The sheriff’s department released a statement via social media around 6:35 pm claiming they ‘are aware’ of reports of a ‘possible armed individual.’
‘We are aware of a possible man with a gun at Loma Linda Hospital. We have deputies on the scene and are actively clearing the hospital,’ the department said in a statment.
‘Please share with your viewers to stay away from the area. We will post updates on our social media platforms.’
Deputies were on the scene and actively clearing the facility, officials said, KTLA reported.
