Progressive Rep. Ilhan Omar’s daughter was suspended from her college after protesting in an anti-Israel demonstration on the Columbia University campus, according to posts from her social media.
She posted that she was one of three students ‘suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide.’
‘[I’m] an organizer with CU Apartheid Divest @ColumbiaSJP, in my 3 years at @BarnardCollege i have never been reprimanded or received any disciplinary warnings i just received notice that i am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide,’ the Democrat’s daughter posted on X.
‘Those of us in Gaza Solidarity Encampment will not be intimidated,’ another post from Hirsi said.
‘We will stand resolute until our demands are met. our demands include divestment from companies complicit in genocide, transparency of @Columbia ’s investments and FULL amnesty for all students facing repression.’
