A man has died after he plunged 20m from the top of a popular cliff into the water in a horror incident.
Emergency services were called to a picnic area at Duckholes Trail, in Terrey Hills, around 30km north of Sydney, about 12.30pm on Friday.
The body of the man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was pulled from the water by police.
He is yet to be identified.
A crime has been set up and investigations into the incident have begun.
A NSW Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia the incident was a misadventure.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman told Daily Mail several ambulance crews including intensive care paramedics attended the scene.
The spokesman declined to make further comment.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
