The women’s college basketball game between Notre Dame and NC State was brought to a halt on Sunday afternoon when a fan suffered a medical emergency in the stands.
The dramatic scenes unfolded amid pandemonium in the arena, seconds after the game ended in a tie between the two heavyweight programs.
With the game tied at 84-84 and live on ESPN, play on the court stopped and Notre Dame players could be seen huddled up praying as medics attended to the stricken fan.
