Three males were arrested  following a pursuit through Melbourne which also took place Friday morning.

Police sighted a Mercedes Coupe travelling at speeds in excess of 200km/h along the Burwood Highway in Ferntree Gully at 1.30am.

Victoria Police’s Air Wing tracked the Mercedes through Endeavour Hills, Lynbrook, Cranbourne, and Lang Lang while officers on the ground followed in hot pursuit.

The vehicle came to a stop in Newhaven before three boys, two sixteen-year-old and one 17, who attempted to flee on foot were arrested.

The trio are expected to be interviewed and officers are investigating whether the incident was related to a Mercedes which had been stolen from Bentleigh East.

Sixty-four kilometres north-west another man had been arrested after he allegedly deliberately drove his car into the Craigieburn police station at 3.40pm on Thursday.

Police allege the man got out of his vehicle after the crash and proceeded to damage two more windows before he was arrested.

Charges have yet to be laid and police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
