BBC The Traitors fans were left “fuming” at the “boring and predictable” ending which left them switching off before the winners had even been announced.

Kicking off the episode, traitor Charlotte was voted off during the roundtable which meant faithful’s Leanne, Jake, Alexander and Francesca remained.

As they joined Claudia Winkleman around the fire pit, she gave them the option to end the game there and then or banish another person.

All four of them decided they needed to banish someone else, which saw Alexander unfortunately miss out on the prize pot.

Asking them once more, the remaining three decided they needed to banish someone else which saw Francesca leave the circle.

Getting down to the final two, Winkleman said: “And then there were two. The game must now end. Leanne and Jake. If you are both Faithful you will share the prize pot.

Leanne was left in tears during the revelations

But, if one of you is a traitor they take it all. Before we discover your identities. I can now reveal that Charlotte was a traitor. I can now reveal that Alexander was a faithful and Francesca was a faithful.

Both faithful’s were left shocked by the revelations, but it was Leanne who was still on edge and expressed to Jake: “Oh my god why are you not looking at me in the eye?”

As the pair revealed they were both faithful’s, Leanne broke down crying, along with Winkleman who joined the duo for a hug.

Speaking about how he felt in the moment, Jake quipped: “Yeah I can’t feel my legs, my body is about to collapse but I am so happy!

“What an incredible achievement! I don’t think I will stop smiling now for weeks!

“£47,300 each!! Are you going back to the salon?” Winkleman asked Leanne, full well knowing that working in a salon was not her profession.

She turned to Jake and revealed: ”I am not going back to the salon… I have never touched a set of nails in my life. For the past 12 years, I have served as a soldier in the British army.”

Later speaking to the camera, Jake said: “I do feel bad for Frankie and Alexander, it is not nice they missed out on the cash prize but the games the game and I am just glad that I was true to myself because that is what it is all about. You need to back yourself, be yourself and be able to defend yourself when it comes to it.”

As the trio walked back into the castle, Winkleman joked: “I can’t wait for you to find out where Charlotte is from,” referring to her lie that she was from Wales.

Whilst Leanne and Jake were left thrilled with the outcome, many fans who had invested their time in the series were let down by the outcome.
