Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has updated fans on her new look weeks after sharing some positive news on her cancer diagnosis.
The 33-year-old was forced to pull out of the dance competition last year after being diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing treatment, frequently sharing updates with fans, including one in November when she’d completed chemotherapy.
The professional dancer recently announced there was no evidence of cancer left in her body in a heartwarming post as she thanked everyone for their support during her health battle.
She’s now shown off her hair transformation as she takes on a blonde look while welcoming her hair growth after looking her locks during treatment.
As her natural hair slowly starts to grow back following her chemotherapy, she took to social media over the weekend to showcase her new pixie cut, which she has dyed blonde.
As she smiled for the camera to debut the blonde look as opposed to her natural brown hair, she penned underneath it: “Just a bit of fun.”
Last month, Dowden celebrated her health update with her social media followers, posting an uplifting snap and writing on Instagram: “NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE! Words I dreamed of! My biggest accomplishment yet!”
She added: “I won’t be getting the all clear for 5 years especially with a hormone fed cancer.
“But it was all worth it. Words I never thought I’d hear at one point.
“So grateful for all the care I received and continue to have. To my husband, family and friends who supported me unconditionally and to you guys! Thank you!”

Dowden has shared every step of her journey with her followers on social media, from the moment she decided to cut her hair to celebrating its regrowth.
In January, she posted a clip in which she stated: “So grateful for the hair growth so far. My eyelashes and brows are back and the hair is growing.
“This is for everyone going through treatment… Remember, like I keep telling myself, ‘This too shall pass.'”
Dowden was diagnosed with breast cancer last May and soon after underwent a mastectomy before being told by doctors that had a secondary cancer.

She continued with her treatment, sharing updates with fans before receiving the news in February there was no evidence of cancer left.
Dowden recently praised her Strictly co-stars for helping her keep her other television project alive as she detailed filming the second series of Dare to Dance.
“I had a couple of weeks until my mastectomy so we did all we could before my mastectomy and then after it, we called upon my fellow Strictly family and they wanted to do all they could to help me and I think the contributors loved the surprise of them coming in,” the Welsh dancer reflected.
