Celebrity Mastermind viewers were excited to tune into a new episode of the BBC series – but were left baffled by the line-up.
Clive Myrie was back in the hosting chair quizzing the celebrities on their chosen subjects and crowning the new champion.
First up was Guy Mowbray, Football Commentator, who was playing for the charity Sporting Memories with his specialist subject of Viking York.
Kirsten O’Brien, TV presenter, was competing for Babies in Buscot Support & Teesside Hospice and chose the rogue subject of The Life of Daphne du Maurier.
The third star to sit in the chair was actor Tyger Drew-Honey whose chosen charity was Shelter and Turning Point, knuckling down the subject of The IT Crowd.
Former MP Justine Greening was last to play for the charity Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust and chose the subject of Judge John Bradshaw.

However, fans were not left impressed with the line-up, as one took to X and slammed: “They’ve seriously overordered the #CelebrityMastermind episodes. #Mastermind.”
Another added: “One didn’t know the name of the current Prime Minister, the other thought racing driver Michael Schumacher won a race last year. How do these people get through a whole day?”
“Can we have normal people back on the show now? Getting bored of these celebrity’s episodes all the time,” someone else slammed.
A fourth penned: “Who are these people? Think the BBC should stick to ordinary contestants taking on the big black chair!”

Mowbray, O’Brien, and Drew-Honey all got through the first round with no passes and scored eight points, whilst Greening managed to just pull ahead with nine points.
During the General Knowledge round, the tables turned as Mowbray and Drew-Honey only scored six points.
Greening impressed once again with eight points, but it was O’Brien who pipped her at the post and scored nine points.
Her last-minute score meant she was crowned the winner of the episode, and left Myrie to note: “ Kirsten congratulations, I suspect Otis is looking down from the lost thinking I am so proud.”
She laughed and added: “I’ll get him out and I will celebrate. Thank you so much.
“I will be putting this in front of everybody’s faces every time I’ve said I am going on Celebrity Mastermind and ‘What’s your subject? Daphne du Maurier, you?’ Yes. Me!”

Last week, fans were put off by the behaviour of Emmerdale star Danny Miller after he earned just 10 points across both the specialist subject and general knowledge round.
Following his disappointing performance, Miller spent the rest of the show sulking in his chair – arms crossed and legs kicked out before him in frustration.
