Supermarket giant Asda has brought out new Sugar & Spice Popcorn and many customers can’t wait to try it.

The own-brand snack is available in stores and online, costing £1 for a 170-gram bag.

The toffee-coated popcorn is described as having a “delicious cinnamon flavour”, perfect for autumn.

Food blog Newfoodsuk found the product and posted a picture on Facebook. It quickly received more than 600 ‘likes’ and 300 comments.

One shopper said, “I think we need to sample some of this”, and tagged their friend who replied, “yes – bl**dy delish”.

Another told their friend, “we need this” and a third said, “oh yes”. Others echoed the glowing reviews.

A customer stated, “they sound amazing”, another added, “this is a bit of me” and a third simply wrote, “yummy”.

While the social media platform was inundated with positive reactions, the new flavour is not for everyone.

A shopper noted, “not sure about that”, a second said, “nope, no cinnamon”, and a third said, “no thanks”.

The new flavour will join other Asda varieties, such as Sweet Popcorn, Salted Popcorn and Sweet & Salted Popcorn.

Snack fans have been delighted recently as Mars announced it would bring back an iconic chocolate bar as a limited-edition treat.

The Marathon Bar, which was rebranded as Snickers in 1990, is set to make a comeback in the UK.

Confectionary company Mars announced the “special Marathon retro edition” in a nod to fans who remember its former identity back in the day.

Senior brand manager Steve Waters said: “We’re excited to bring back the Marathon bar branding for a limited period.

“It’s a great way to celebrate over 90 years of Mars making chocolate in the UK. We hope fans of Snickers, who remember when it was called Marathon, will enjoy picking it up in-store.”
