Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife Lisa Armstrong seems to have made a dig at her former partner after sharing a post about “loser exes”.
The makeup artist, known for her work on Strictly Come Dancing, split from presenter McPartlin in 2018 after 12 years of marriage.
The former couple had tied the knot in 2006 after years together. Following their split, McPartlin moved on with his former personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett.
Armstrong often shares cryptic and uplifting messages on her social media accounts, with the latest seeming to be a dig at her famous ex.
The 48-year-old’s Instagram post, shared on Sunday, read: “Cheers to the people who love us, the losers who lost us, and the lucky b******s who get to meet us.”
The makeup artist followed the message up with an inspirational quote, which references the challenges she has faced throughout 2024.
It read: “You spent 2024 in survival mode. 2025 is your time to rise, rebuild, and thrive,” MailOnline reports.
McPartlin and Corbett married in 2021, with McPartlin’s long-time friend and co-host Declan Donnelly serving as best man.
In May of this year, the husband and wife welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Wilder.
Sharing a snap of McPartlin holding his newborn son, the host revealed the baby’s name as he wrote: “Welcome to the family.
“Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess.”
Despite the difficulties Armstrong and her ex seemed to have faced, it was recently reported the makeup artist is making a fresh start.
A source stated earlier this year that Armstrong has done “a lot of healing over the past few years.”
Speaking to OK!, they commented: “Lisa knows Ant is ready to move on with the next chapter of his life – she doesn’t want to be angry anymore.
“She’s done a lot of healing over the past few years and spent so much time being upset and angry about everything.
“It has been exhausting but she has done a lot of work on herself. It seems everyone is having a fresh start with the end of the show and Ant’s new chapter in his life, so Lisa wants to make sure she’s in a good place.”
Armstrong demonstrated support for her former husband when his long-term show, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, came to an end after 20 years on air.
She had liked a social media post honouring the pair following the milestone which described the comedy duo as “simply the best”.
