• Chelsea Randall suffered a nasty-looking black eye
  • It came during the Crows win against Collingwood
  • She is expected to play in Adelaide’s game vs North Melbourne

Crows star Chelsea Randall has been cleared by medics to play in Adelaide’s huge clash against league leaders North Melbourne this weekend after she was involved in a brutal collision with Collingwood’s Eliza James on Sunday.

The incident came during the first quarter of the match, with both players clashing heads during a marking contest.

James was ruled out for the remainder of the match with a concussion, while Randall passed her head injury assessment after approximately 20 minutes on the sidelines.

The Crows would go on to secure a 56-13 victory against the Magpies, with Randall kicking a goal in the fourth quarter to help her side seal victory.

The result keeps Adelaide inside the top four, staying level with Brisbane on 28 points, with two games left to play before the AFLW finals series commences.

Randall, meanwhile, took to Instagram after the match to show the painful-looking black eye she had been left with following the head collision.

The defender, who has kicked five goals this season for the Crows, appeared to have suffered some swelling to the right side of her face following the accidental collision.

Randall appeared to be in good spirits despite the injury and has been cleared by medics to take on North Melbourne on Friday night

Fortunately, medics have stated she has not suffered any structural damage to her face, meaning she is likely to be available for Friday night’s big clash.

Speaking on Instagram, Randall revealed the injury to her followers, stating: ‘Hey guys, just wanted to say…’ She said before turning her head around so that viewers could see her black eye.

‘I hope you have a great day,’ she added before appearing to laugh at the injury while posting a picture of her giving a thumbs up.

The footy star seems to be taking a light-hearted view of the injury, posting a picture of herself next to a chipmunk and a picture of Harry Potter after he drinks a Polyjuice Potion during the iconic film franchise.

She captioned the post: ‘Footy footy footy. Here’s your Monday content. Chipmunk > Polyjuice potion > Panda eyes.’

Randall also sent a note to James in the caption, writing: ‘Big love to @elizajames_ in this contest,’ adding a ‘heart hands’ emoji.
