Prince Harry has been urged to leave the US if he lied about his drug use when applying for immigration to the country.
It comes just hours before the Duke of Sussex’s visa files are set to be made public, giving a clear indication as to whether the Duke of Sussex admitted to taking cannabis, cocaine and magic mushrooms on his immigration paperwork.
The order was issued by Washington Judge Carl Nichols in the latest development in Harry’s deportation calls following admissions of illegal drug use in his controversial memoir Spare, released in January 2023.
Chairman of Republicans Overseas UK, Greg Swenson, suggested that if the files reveal he has lied when applying for entry into the US he should voluntarily leave before potential court proceedings.

Swenson told the Daily Mail: “If Harry is here illegally it would be hypocritical for him to get special treatment given the mass deportations occurring now.
“Smartest thing for Harry would be to leave the US, avoid the proceedings and leave voluntarily.”
He added that President Trump is unlikely to intervene in the case.
The chairman said: “It probably won’t rank high enough as an issue. I don’t think he will intervene.”

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams echoed this view, describing Prince Harry as “not important” to Donald Trump.
Fitzwilliams told GB News: “We know what the Sussexes think politically. They are strongly anti-Trump.
“There’s not much love lost, but they’re not important as far as Trump is concerned.”
In his order, Judge Nichols, who was appointed by Donald Trump, said: “The government has provided the court with its proposed redactions to the documents…those redactions appearing appropriate, the government is ORDERED to lodge on the docket the redacted versions of those documents no later than March 18, 2025.”
In September Judge Nichols refused the request from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to release all the documents because the Duke had a right to privacy.
However, after a hearing he reconsidered and said that he wanted to reveal as much as he could to the public.
During a previous hearing, Judge Nichols said that he wanted to make the “maximum amount” of material public that he could, adding: “In my view that has to happen.”
The Judge did however say he did not want to reveal Harry’s immigration status, meaning that there could be heavy redactions on some files.
