Queen Camilla’s longtime hairdresser has revealed that the royal was ‘so nervous’ on her wedding day to King Charles nearly 20 years ago.
Jo Hansford, who has styled the Queen’s hair for 35 years, shared intimate details of the 2005 royal wedding.
Hansford said: “I had been doing her hair for years, but I was very nervous about doing it for the wedding.
“She looked amazing, thank God. She was so nervous. The whole world was watching, and it must have been terrifying, the same as the coronation. But I think she handled it really well.”

Hansford also recalled being summoned to Clarence House on the day of the engagement announcement, rather than having Camilla visit her salon as usual.
The then-Prince Charles and Camilla tied the knot in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall on April 9, 2005.
The ceremony was followed by a blessing at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip did not attend the civil wedding ceremony, though both were present for the Service of Prayer and Dedication.
It marked the second marriage for both Charles, now 76, and Camilla, now 77.
For her special day, Camilla opted for distinctive headwear rather than a traditional tiara.
She wore a wide-brimmed hat for the civil ceremony, later changing into a feather headpiece for the blessing.
Hansford revealed that Queen Camilla has “adapted incredibly well” to royal life over the years.

Hansford said: “She isn’t dependent on people all the time unless she has to style it for a special occasion. She’s very low-maintenance.”
