A 75-year-old woman with great hair named the post-shower hack that keeps her locks looking their best.
Speaking to her TikTok followers, Cora Lakey (@coralakey) introduced her mum on the sharing platform.
She said: “My mum is 75 and looks better than anyone I know. I’ve asked her to share her hair care secrets and talk about the products that make her hair look the way it does – she has no wig and no extensions.”

The septuagenarian named the two products she swears by for stress-free strands.
Referencing the OUAI Hair Gloss, she said: “I wash my hair and put this on. Three pea-sized drops are all I need on my hair. I leave it on for five minutes while I finish my shower, then rinse it off.”
The hair care enthusiast shared that she washes her hair every other day, meaning she uses the product around three times per week.
Its official description reads: “Get shine in the shower. Hair Gloss is made with hyaluronic acid and rice water and will protect colour, boost shine, reduce frizz and take strength up a notch.”
The K18 leave-in molecular repair hair mask also makes a “big difference” to her strands, the hair enthusiast claimed.
After towel-drying her hair, the septuagenarian adds one pump of the mask to her hair and leaves it in. Giving the product the ultimate praise, she described it as “absolutely amazing”.
The repairing product, which caters to all hair types, is described as a patented bioactive peptide treatment that “strengthens and improves elasticity while reversing damage from chemical services, thermal styling and mechanical styling”.
Both of these products are available in the UK, but there are plenty of hair-boosting products out there for all hair types and concerns.
Before investing in something new, it’s always worth speaking to your hairdresser or an expert such as a dermatologist or trichologist. These professionals can give you tailored advice.

The experts at Dove provided some top tips for women who want to care for their ageing hair.
Mature ladies should “replenish” their dry hair with a good shampoo, before hydrating with conditioner.
They should also protect against breakage using strategic products that “boosts fullness, manageability, shine, softness and smoothness”.
Protection is even more paramount when styling tools are involved, so women were advised to utilise heat protectant spray.
Better still, allowing your hair to dry naturally rather than blasting it with a hairdryer is great for its condition.
Finally, the hair experts told women to combat thinner, flatter hair with products that add “lift” and “fullness”.
