GB News reporter Adam Cherry has witnessed “hundreds, if not thousands” of protesters gathering in central London today for a major Ukraine solidarity march.
“It’s a very big protest now. It’s picking up momentum,” Cherry told GB News after leaving the studio to cover the demonstration.
Adam Cherry said: “I’ve dashed out of the studio and come straight here. This protest started outside or near the Ukrainian embassy.
“The statue of Saint Vladimir, those watching on television will see him surrounded by hundreds, if not thousands of people here.

“Actually, it’s a very big protest now. It’s picking up momentum.
“We made our way from that statue to the Russian embassy, snaking our way through central London, and you may be able to hear chanting and singing Stop Russia, stop the war.

“We’ve had simply stopped the aggression. Russia is a terrorist state. It’s contained, it’s animated. There’s a small police presence. We’re going to be here.
“Throughout the protest outside the Russian embassy now, expected to be here for a couple of hours.
“A strong atmosphere, small police presence, and people are angry.
“There are some Stop Trump signs here as well. So there’s frustration towards the US administration.”
The march comes amid growing concerns over Ukraine being excluded from peace negotiations between Moscow and US President Donald Trump.
Organisers said in a joint statement that Ukraine has been made vulnerable by insufficient aid and is being “expected to consign its own citizens to occupation under a deal imposed by Trump”.
Olena Ivashchenko, director of Campaign for Ukraine, said Kyiv’s future was “being decided by politicians behind closed doors”.
She added: “We call for Russia to withdraw its troops from all of Ukraine, for Trump to end his backroom power games and for the UK to strengthen its leadership in safeguarding Ukraine’s sovereignty.”

Trump recently told a Fox News podcast that President Zelensky has “been in the meetings for three years and nothing got done”.
“I don’t think he’s very important to be at meetings to be honest with you,” Trump added after excluding Kyiv from peace talks with Russia on Tuesday.
The US President also criticised Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron, claiming they “haven’t done anything” to end the war in Ukraine.
The Prime Minister and French president are due to visit Trump separately in Washington next week, amid growing tensions between the US leader and President Zelensky.
