Marks & Spencer’s latest Easter offering has sparked intense debate on social media, as shoppers react to the launch of their Extra Thick Pistachio & Milk Chocolate Egg.
The luxury chocolate egg, spotted in M&S stores across the UK, has generated thousands of likes and comments after being featured by the food blog Newfoodsuk.
Taking to Facebook and Instagram, many social media users expressed immediate enthusiasm for the pistachio-flavoured creation.
“I really need this a lot,” wrote one excited commenter, while another declared: “I said no Easter eggs this year then they bring this out.”

Several shoppers tagged friends and family members with hopeful messages in an attempt to secure the nutty, chocolate concoction.
One said they’d “like this for Easter please”, while another told a fellow M&S shopper to “get on the hunt”.
“Oh my days” and “Oh wow” were common reactions, with multiple users vowing to visit their local supermarket immediately.
Others chorused, “Ooooh” and “Need”, while another asked a loved one: “Why would you tempt me? Looks amazing.”
Another enthusiastic customer observed: “Damn, I really need to go to M&S – they’ve got so many pistachio foods.”
Indeed, M&S recently launched an “unbelievably good” pistachio treat that promises to “take indulgence to a whole new level”.
The Collection Pistachio Creme spread was described as “super irresistible” by the supermarket, a decadent experience that “has to be tasted to be believed”.
However, the pistachio and chocolate Easter egg’s price tag has sparked significant backlash from other shoppers.
Prices may vary in selected stores and online at Ocado, but several locations are selling the 485g egg for £20.
One social media user stated: “20 quid?! No thanks! Be a mug to pay that!” Another seconded this, asking: “£20? In this economy?”

Several commenters branded the pricing as excessive, with one calling it “disgusting” and another agreeing “100 per cent.”
“Rip off,” wrote another critic. “Wouldn’t pay their greedy extortionate price,” commented another.
This comes as M&S fans took to social media to praise the supermarket’s unusual £6 fusion pizza.
Upon trying the new addition, one happy shopper stated: “I had this for dinner tonight and, my goodness, it’s delicious.”
